I purchased the Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock because I want something simple and reliable. When I’m traveling and tired at the end of the day, the simplicity of this clock allows me to set the alarm and go to bed knowing that I will be able to wake up on time for the next day’s activities. The quartz mechanism has been an accurate feature of this clock that I liked. The added benefit is that it came with AA batteries; push button for night light to check time; glows in the dark; a progressive alarm; and IT’S QUIET, no buzzing or ticking noise to keep you awake.
On the whole this was a great balance between quality and value.

My wife has had an earlier version of this Seiko Alarm Clock on her nightstand for longer than she can remember. When it stopped working, I was totally happy to have found one on Amazon that looked almost identical.
It is very easy to read, makes no noise, glows just right in the dark and keeps us on time even if we have a power outage. I made a ‘present’ of it to her and it was a big hit! Amazon did what they’re famous for and delivered it to us quickly and safely. Kudos to all for yet another “easy as pie” transaction!

PROS:

Seiko ascending alarm
Solid construction
Snooze button that also lights up ENTIRE dial making it easy to see at night
Nice size, not quite travel size BUT could certainly be packed for travel
MAIN REASON I BOUGHT THIS CLOCK (besides it being on sale):
Although the dial isn’t LIT UP all the time at night, it is very, very dimly illuminated so that in the pitch black you CAN see where it is, then you can reach over and hit the snooze button to light up the face.CONS:
Average looks, but I am getting used to it
Alarm on/off switch very small on back of clock
Same gadget on back of clock for setting both alarm (in, and twist either direction) and time (pull out and twist)I gave this 5 stars because it is a high quality clock that performs its function and is a whole lot better than a lot of other clocks out there. I would not pay $42.50 for it, but I would and did pay a lower price which I feel was a very fair deal. In fact, I bought three (3) for various uses because the price was right.
